Jim and I celebrated our Christmas late since my three stepchildren were away on a skiing trip. Because of this, we had an extra few days to shop for our presents. While searching for my stepdaughter Ashley's gift, Jim stumbled upon my upgrade.

He found it at Sartor Hamann Jewelers in Lincoln. Our salesperson, Gino, did a wonderful job helping him pick the right stone. Jim proposed with a diamond accent then replaced that accent with a .25 carat diamond. We've come a long way, baby! This photo displays my original ring and the new ring. Someday we will go back to Gino and have him design a piece that combines the two.
