This year our family had many losses. We lost Grandma Kosman, my mother's mother, just before Lucille was born in March.
Grandma was an amazing woman who mothered 1o children (nine girls and a boy) and lost another set of twins at birth. This simple crystal pendant was one of six that were attached to a broken necklace of hers. My mother's twin sister found it and shared the crystals with us. Both my mother and my aunt have two girls, so now we each have a special drop to remember grandma by. Seems like it was meant to be six drops for six girls. Thanks, Grams.
Do you have any pieces of vintage jewelry?
What makes vintage jewelry so special?

I have a few pieces of vintage jewelry that I have purchased and a few that are family. As you know I am a jewelryholic. Family pieces are so very special, just as this one is, as you are forever tied to the individual or individuals that loved the piece as well. I love looking at and shopping for vintage pieces and wondering about their history. So often they have such great craftsmanship.
I am in the process of creating a history of each piece I have so that when it is passed on, the receiver will know why it was special to me.
I love what your aunt did with these crystals.
Thanks Pat! It was a neat idea that my mom and aunt came up with. It's not even something that's extremely expensive. The simplicity of the crystal is what I love. You have a great idea to document yourwhat jewelry for your children and grandchildren.
